Japan Rail Pass
Hello there,
It would depend on how much the JR Pass is used. A common choice in this case is to use a 7 day JRPass and use it for longer distance travel.
Let me know your itinerary and I can help you find the best option!

then 3 nights in Kyoto (Hotel Mystays Kyoto-Shijo)(06.05.15-09.05.15).
0n 09.05.15-10.05.15 (1night) in Hiroshima.
we will go back to Nagoya on 10.05.15-11.05.15. (1 night).and fly back to Malaysia on 11.05.15 (11.45pm).
Hope to hear from you soon.Thank you.
Hi again!
Let's have a look at ticket prices and see what would work best.
Nagoya - Osaka ¥ 6,150
Osaka - Kyoto ¥ 560
Kyoto - Hiroshima ¥ 10,890
Hiroshima - Nagoya ¥ 13,610
For a total of ¥ 31,210 or ¥ 2,100 in savings as the 7 day JR Pass is ¥ 29,100. The JR Pass will also cover local travel in Osaka and the Ferry to Miyajima, so it's certainly worth considering.
Hope this helps,
Daniel
Hi Danial!
pls be informed that we will be landing in Kansai International Airport on 02.05.15 at 10.30 pm. is it possible for us
to activate our JR Pass there? And we are going to Yamaguchi from Hiroshima for 2 nights, Is it possible
for us to use JR Pass and how much? Then from Horisima to Osaka on 12.05.15. We will spent a total of 12 days
in Japan. pls advice whether to buy the 7 day pass or 14 days pass.
For your information our AirAsia flight has reroute to Osaka. Thanks for your advices and hope to hear from you soon.
Hi there,
The exchange office will be closed at 10:30, so you'll have to wait until the following morning in order to exchange the JR Pass. The JR Pass covers rail travel between Yamaguchi, Hiroshima and Osaka. I must say that with the above itinerary it would be more economic to buy normal tickets instead of the JR Pass. Because the cost of normal tickets is below the cost of the JR Pass.
Hope this helps,
Daniel
