I will be travelling to Nagoya in coming 27 Oct to 9 Nov 15.
I would like to visit takayama, shirakawago, Kyoto and Osaka. May I know is it worth to buy the 7 days pass or 14 days pass?
Thanks.

Hi there,
A JR Pass could be useful, however It would depend on the route that you wish to travel. Will you arrive and depart from Nagoya airport or somewhere else?
Hope to hear from you,
Daniel
If you are entering Japan through Tokyo, then going to your listed cities within a week would make a 7 day pass pay off. But you'd need to do a lot more travel to make a 14 day pass worth it. If you are entering Japan through Nagoya, then you'd need to add more travel to make a 7 day pass pay off. Or you could just use a regional rail pass to save money.
Hi Daniel,
I will arrive in Nagoya airport then depart to takayama for 3 nights then depart from takayama to Toyama for 1 night then depart to Kyoto for few nights. Lastly I will depart from Kyoto to Osaka for few nights then depart from Osaka airport.
Thanks.
From your info, a JR Pass simply wouldn't pay off. Fortunately there is a 5 day alternative you could use, the Takayama-Hokuriku Area Tourist Pass.
