Hey everyone,
I've been doing some research on how to get from Narita Airport to Dotonburi, Osaka using a JR Pass, and every website is saying something different.
Will the JR Pass get me directly to Osaka, or would I have to transfer to another subway i.e. a train/subway not run by JR?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
Hello there,
The closest JR station is JR-Namba. You can walk to Dotonbori from there in 10-15 minutes. This option is free with the JR Pass.
You can also travel to Dotonbori using the Osaka subway from Shin-Osaka, this is closer to Dotonbori but you would have to pay the subway fare (around 200yen).

Thanks for replying!
So far, I have this route:
• Take Narita Express to Tokyo Station
• Transfer to the Shinkansen (Bullet train) to Shin-Osaka
• Get on the Midosuji Line and get off at Shinsaibashi Station (approx. 15 mins)
Is this correct?

Yup, that is the fastest route. Note that the Midosuji line is a subway line.
